1984/1985 USA “Student” Randy Rhoads. Serial Number: RR 00839. Bought at Drome Sound in Albany, NY in 1985.  Bought new. One owner.

Highly unique, custom neon paint job (teal green, with a pink sunburst overlay), typical of the mid-80’s glam metal era, crosses over from a standard production finish into the Custom Shop/Graphic category.  Considering the minor classic V-tip chipping, it’s in excellent body paint condition. Includes original hardshell case, also in great condition, with minor exterior wear.

Built in the original San Dimas workshop, the loud neon burst overlays were done strictly to order. Collectors pay a heavy premium for wild, original factory graphics that haven’t been refinished like this one. Original Seymour Duncan Pickups. Vintage Kahler USA 1980s 2300 Flat-mount black tremolo with locking nut (nut screws replaced).

Tips have minor chipping on the points which considered normal wear for a 40-year-old gigged Rhoads V. Body remains in excellent condition and has not been altered or repaired, just cleaned.
