This 2022 Gibson 1950s LG-2 is a beautifully executed recreation of Gibson’s classic small-body flat-top, offering the dry, woody response, warmth, and excellent projection that made the original LG-2 such a beloved recording and songwriting instrument. The 14-fret, slope-shoulder body features a Sitka spruce top with traditional scalloped X-bracing, mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck with a comfortable vintage-inspired profile and Indian rosewood fingerboard. The smaller body is exceptionally comfortable while still producing a remarkably full, balanced voice with excellent note separation and a lively fundamental.

For amplified performance, the guitar is equipped from the factory with Gibson’s L.R. Baggs VTC Element pickup system. The undersaddle pickup and discreet endpin-mounted preamp provide a natural amplified acoustic tone while retaining the guitar’s character and dynamics, making this LG-2 equally at home on stage, in the studio, or unplugged on the couch.

This example is in excellent condition and sounds and plays fantastic. It has that wonderfully dry, woody Gibson voice with a warm midrange, articulate highs, and impressive projection for its compact body size. The vintage-inspired appointments, sunburst finish, tortoise-style pickguard, and understated cosmetics give it plenty of old-school Gibson character.

Includes the original Gibson hardshell case. A fantastic small-body Gibson for players looking for vintage-inspired construction, authentic Gibson tone, and excellent amplified versatility.
