The 1973 Rickenbacker 4001 features a neck-through-body maple construction, a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with crushed pearl triangle inlays (some with pearl resin), and distinct vintage hardware elements characteristic of the early-to-mid '70s transition period. This particular example is in very good overall condition. Transitional details include "wavy" tuners, pearl resin inlays, and lack of thumb rest. The bridge pickup cover is missing, and a newer bone nut has been installed. The felt on the mute has also been replaced. All else is original. Neck width is 1.678" at the nut and 2.108" at the 12th fret. Neck depth is .89" at the 1st fret and .929" at the 12th. Weighs 8.88 pounds and ships in OHSC.
