The Gemini I is one of our favourite Ampegs. 22W, 12" speaker, trem, reverb, carryable, lighter than a Deluxe Reverb but with mids, it's an amp whose price has not caught up with how great it is.  Which is why we spent 4 days fixing up the cabinet, which was falling apart.  After all the work it still looks like shit but it's functional and stable, and no longer destined for the skip.  Electronically, the amp sounds utterly brilliant.  We didn't change much inside, we reinstalled a capcan, as it per the original circuit, and replaced a couple of other caps.  We put in a new reverb tank, as the original was shot, now amazing, more spaghetti than surf.  The trem pot has a cool feature where it latches onto a square wave at full intensity, great sound!  The Jensen P12R speaker needed re-coning, as you would expect, and it now has the perfect vintage tone.
