This is an amazing microphone...

It sounds quite unbelievable. I was blown away when I went to test this one. I first converted the pigtail to an XLR, which included opening up the mic and re-wiring the inside too, which had completely deteriorated wiring. So this thing is nice and freshly serviced.

It has a very smooth and present sound. An incredible vocal mic. I'm sure it would be great for many applications.

It is HEAVY. It is Strong. It does NOT sound like you're in the 1930s, but rather, I don't know why they stopped making these... it's that good. I'm not sure what to compare it to, but I was testing quite a few mic's at the time, and it was very close to the sound of an Electro Voice 660, which was my better pick over an Electro Voice RE10 that I have... but I think because the diaphragm is so much larger than a modern day microphone, the high sibilance is not as strong, but the mid vocal range is really there and nice in a sweet way.

I will be keeping this microphone gladly in my collection until somebody comes along that wants to pay me a good price for it.
