Ovaltone is a Japanese handmade effects pedal brand known for its carefully designed and highly musical effects.

This is a used Lime Comp, a popular compressor that was originally available as a made-to-order model and has since been discontinued.

The Lime Comp is designed to retain the pleasant attack characteristic of a pedal compressor while avoiding an unnatural, overly squashed sound even when applying deep compression. It provides a smooth and natural sustain with excellent clarity.

An optical compression circuit is used, while the internal power supply voltage is boosted to provide ample headroom. This helps reduce the distortion and noise commonly associated with compressors, resulting in a clear and natural sound.

The Lime Comp works particularly well when placed at the beginning of an effects chain and used as an always-on compressor.

The controls are simple, with Comp and Volume controls, plus a FAST/SLOW switch for selecting the release time.

In FAST mode, the pedal produces a more pronounced, punchy attack with a crisp and lively response. In SLOW mode, the compression becomes smoother and more relaxed, providing the familiar feel of a traditional guitar compressor.

The pedal shows a moderate amount of signs of use, but all functions are working properly.

This is a discontinued Ovaltone compressor that is not often found at a reasonable price on the used market.
