Inward Connections Dual Discrete Class 1 Headphone Amplifier Early 2000's - Black

Up for sale is a custom Inward Connections dual-channel discrete Class 1 headphone amplifier, designed and built by legendary Los Angeles pro-audio designer Steve Firlotte of Inward Connections and Tree Audio.

This is not your typical utility headphone amp. Like so much of Steve's equipment, it is seriously overbuilt, made with extremely high-quality components, and designed with sound quality first. These are highly regarded as some of the best-sounding headphone amplifiers around, and very few of them seem to exist today.

The unit provides two independent headphone channels, each with its own front-panel volume control. More importantly, each audio channel has its own Inward Connections SPA690 discrete op amp, which is a big part of what makes this amplifier special. The SPA690 is a highly regarded discrete amplifier design found in some of Inward Connections' best equipment.

The rear panel provides balanced XLR inputs and outputs, along with two additional 1/4" TRS headphone outputs, giving you plenty of flexibility for studio use.

I am the third owner, and the unit previously came from a legendary mastering studio in Los Angeles. It's a serious piece of professional studio equipment with the build quality you would expect from Inward Connections.

The unit is fully functional and sounds excellent. Please look closely at the photos, as there is some rack rash and scratching on the top and bottom of the chassis from normal professional studio use. These marks are strictly cosmetic and do not affect the operation or sound of the unit.

With Inward Connections no longer in business, equipment like this has become increasingly difficult to find—especially unusual custom pieces such as this. Inward Connections gear has long been highly regarded for its discrete circuitry, exceptional build quality, and great sound, and this headphone amplifier is a perfect example of that philosophy.

I'm only selling because I'm downsizing my studio and already have another excellent headphone amplifier. Otherwise, this is absolutely something I would keep. It deserves to be in a studio where it will get used rather than sitting in my rack.

I have a perfect Reverb rating as both a buyer and seller and take very good care of my equipment. I do my best to describe everything accurately, and this unit will be packed extremely well and professionally for safe shipping.
