This unit is FACTORY RECTROFITTED ORIGINAL German engineering, with standard 1/4" input and output jacks. All original parts. It is completely plug-and-play with modern electric guitars, synthesizers, mixing desks, and amplifiers.

Current Functional Status & Recent Maintenance:

• Heads Cleaned: The record, playback, and erase heads, along with all metal guide pins, have just been cleaned using 91% Isopropyl alcohol. The high-end frequency response, brightness, and warmth of the tape repeats are fantastic.
• Tape Loop Serviced: The internal 1/4" tape loop has been properly tracked and runs smoothly across the capstan.
• Controls: The sliding playback head lever glides smoothly across the faceplate, allowing for incredible, real-time analog pitch-warping effects. Every single button, knob, and channel functions exactly as intended.
• Whisper Quiet: The internal motor runs smoothly and quietly without loud grinding or mechanical hum. Shielded playhead (See/hear video).

Note on vintage character: “Original” pots could use a cleaning. When plugged directly into the front of a clean amplifier, the unit operates remarkably quietly. Like most completely original 1970s tape gear, the vintage potentiometers exhibit some typical minor scratchiness/pops if you adjust them on the fly while running through a high-voltage amplifier effects loop, but they settle down completely to dead silence once your settings are dialed in.

This is a delicate vintage mechanical instrument. It will be packed with absolute care, double-boxed. Special note to buyer: The tape loop will be gently secured internally for transport so it does not slip off the rollers during shipping.
