Vintage 1966 Harmony H162 Grand Concert 000 Size Acoustic Guitar!
Made In USA!
This is really Cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1966 Harmony H162 Flat Top Acoustic Guitar. We’re absolutely crazy about these old harmony acoustics, and this "Grand Concert" size has to be the biggest sounding ladder-braced acoustic we’ve ever heard! Boomy lows with a rich mid-range, this one holds its own against some of our Gibson flat tops!
***Neck Reset***
Our Luthier did a neck reset on this H162. This is very common for these guitars at this age. A complete setup was done as well as brand new strings. Neck is Dead On Straight. You will not have to spend any additional monies on this guitar. Very Playable! Gig ready on Arrival!
From The 1966 Harmony Catalog:
MAHOGANY WITH RESONANT SPRUCE TOP
Grand Concert Size. Back and sides of selected quality mahogany; top of resonant spruce. Soundhole, top and back edges are celluloid bound, with inlay. Durable natural color eggshell lacquer finish. Ovalled rosewood fingerboard. Rosewood bridge, with bone saddle. Steel reinforced hardwood neck. Shell celluloid pick guard. Excellent tone quality.
H162s like this guy are just plain fun and share the sort of big, airy Harmony sound but with more focus on crunchy mids and crisp sustain. It's a great sound for country-blues, folk, and heavy-handed rhythm players who need to de-mud themselves.
Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 15 1/4 in. (38.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). A very nice example of one of Harmony's 1950's and '60's mainstays, the spruce top H-162.
This is an excellent gigging guitar. Between the quality woods and the professional setup with neck reset, this is a great guitar for a performing artist. Very rich and bright sounding. Really good sound projection.
Nothing sounds as good as aged wood and this Harmony really delivers all the Tone.

Cosmetics: Very Good Condition. Player's Guitar. Keep in mind that this is a 60 year old vintage guitar that has been played. There are light strumming scratches on the pickguard as well as on the Top near the soundhole. There are also several scratches and nicks on the Top. The Back is pretty clean but there are some light marks from being held next to the players body. The right side of the guitar has some scratches. This is the side that rests on your leg while playing seated. I have taken 3 pictures of this. (See pictures #10-#12). Neck has a few scratches. (See picture #7). Headstock has some scratches around the edges. Fingerboard in great shape. The werari s what gives this Harmony it's charm. Very Authentic. Original Chipboard case in good shape. Some scuffs and scratches in the tolex. Interior is fine. All latches work. Overall, a very solid Harmony that is just Dripping in "Mojo"
