Moog Prodigy 336A monophonic analog synthesizer in Very Good condition

The affordable Moog that ended up on everything. Two VCOs with saw, triangle, and pulse, hard sync between them, and the real Moog 24 dB per octave transistor ladder filter plus bass that will move furniture. Built in Buffalo, New York. This is an early unit, serial 1955, from the first run before Moog added the rear CV jacks.

Great sounding, fully working synth with some cosmetic wear on the wood as listed below.

Condition: Overall we rated this as Very Good. Scratches on the wood cheeks including several white scuff lines on the right side, as seen in photos. Wear and marks along the bottom edges of both wood cheeks. The wood finish is thin in places with lighter patches where the stain has worn. Dust and grime around the panel knob bases. Pitch and modulation wheels are intact with no cracks, with the normal age yellowing to the plastic. All knobs and switches are present and undamaged. Keys are clean with no chips, cracks, or missing keys, and they sit level. Panel silkscreen is crisp and fully readable.

Test Results: Fully tested and working. Powers up with the power LED lit. Both oscillators produce sound across all waveforms and octave settings. Oscillator sync works. Filter cutoff and emphasis sweep the full range and the filter self oscillates at the top of the emphasis range. Both contour sections, filter and loudness, respond correctly through attack, decay, release, and sustain. Glide, tune, and modulation all function. Pitch and modulation wheels track. All 32 keys trigger. Set up for easy demo at our shop in Milwaukee, WI.
