The Squier Paranormal Precision Bass Thinline SJ in 3-Color Sunburst reworks the early Precision Bass formula with semi-hollow construction and an unconventional pair of Fender-Designed Alnico single-coils. A ’51 P Bass single-coil in the neck position provides deep, rounded thump, while a Jazz Bass single-coil at the bridge adds a tighter, more focused voice with extra growl and definition. A 3-way blade switch makes it easy to use either pickup individually or combine the two.
The thinline nyatoh body adds natural acoustic resonance while reducing weight, paired with a maple "C"-shape neck and 9.5"-radius Indian laurel fingerboard. A full 34" scale, 20 narrow tall frets, vintage-style open-gear tuners, and a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge keep the playing experience familiar, while the 3-Color Sunburst finish and black pickguard give this Paranormal model a clean vintage-inspired appearance.
