Up for sale is a very cool 1955 Gibson GA-5 Les Paul Junior tube combo amplifier.

The GA-5 is one of Gibson’s classic small-format tube amps from the 1950s: simple, lightweight, and wonderfully responsive. With two inputs and a single volume control, there isn’t much between your guitar and the tubes. At lower settings it has a warm vintage character, and when pushed it breaks up naturally into a great raw, old-school tube overdrive.

This example is in good working condition and has a 6" replacement speaker.

One important upgrade has been made since I purchased the amp: the original-style two-prong power cord has been replaced with a modern grounded 3-prong power cord for safer operation.

Cosmetically, the amp presents very nicely for something approximately 70 years old. There is expected age-related wear, including some discoloration to the covering and light wear around the corners and edges. Please examine the photos carefully for the best indication of its cosmetic condition.
