This second-hand John Packer JP131 does show noticeable signs of previous use, including areas of lacquer wear and a number of dents to the body. These cosmetic marks are consistent with the instrument having been well used and do not detract from its character as a practical student trombone.
The only issue with this trombone is that the catch designed to hold the slide securely in place when the instrument is not being played is currently frozen. As a result, the slide is free to move rather than being locked securely in position when the instrument is not being played. This does not prevent the trombone from being played, but the issue should be noted.
The instrument has been checked over and remains a good playing trombone, making it an affordable option for a student or developing player who is more concerned with playability than cosmetic condition.
