Rare early 20th-century Taylor & Horn “The Chicago” trombone, serial number 653. Made in Chicago during the short-lived Taylor & Horn partnership (approximately 1906–1919). Beautiful floral engraving on the bell and classic silver-plated finish.
This trombone was recently professionally cleaned, the slide was aligned, and a few dents were repaired. The slide is now free-moving and smooth, and the instrument plays exceptionally well with a clear, responsive tone.
Includes the original period leather trombone case (shows age-appropriate wear but is solid and functional (It is missing a leather strap and end cap).
A true collector’s piece that is also fully playable!
