The Seymour Duncan SJ5-3b Quarter Pound brings big, aggressive tone and high output to the bridge position of your 5-string Jazz Bass®. Featuring massive 1/4" Alnico 5 rod magnets and a hot coil wind, this pickup delivers powerful lows, punchy mids, strong attack, and excellent articulation. It's a great choice for bassists who want the definition and character of a Jazz Bass® bridge pickup with more output and authority than a traditional vintage-style single coil.

The Quarter Pound's oversized pole pieces help produce a strong, full response with plenty of sustain and presence. Whether you're looking for a more aggressive rock tone or simply want your bridge pickup to cut through a dense mix, the SJ5-3b delivers the signature Quarter Pound sound.

Hand-built in Santa Barbara, California, the SJ5-3b features Forbon flatwork, a wax-potted coil for squeal-free performance, and a black pickup cover.
