Relab Maselec Bundle MEA-2 EQ and MLA-4 Compressor (Activation Card)

The Relab Maselec Bundle is the two Maselec mastering tools together: the MEA-2 Precision Stereo EQ and the MLA-4 Triband Compressor and Expander. They are $199 each on their own, so $398 bought separately, and $299 here.

What separates these from a generic emulation is who made them. Both were developed in collaboration with Leif Mases, the engineer whose own Maselec hardware they model, so the behaviour comes from the person who designed the originals rather than from measurements alone.

The MEA-2 is a mastering equalizer built around an asymmetric Q curve and broad shelving, which is what gives it the smooth, natural character it is known for. Relab have added Mid and Side control on each band and Solo Isolation for finding a problem before you treat it.

The MLA-4 is a triband compressor and expander for mixing, mastering and stem processing. Because it expands as well as compresses, it can control low-end dynamics and open up midrange clarity, and it can restore transients rather than only flatten them.
