Not reissue, Gibson 1966 ES-335 vintage pre-T-Top Patent number bridge pickup 7.8k. with original harness with 1966 500k pots, dated #13766xx... as you likely know it's not uncommon for Gibson guitars to have pots from a year or so earlier than the issue date of the guitar, so it would be entirely possible to use this pickup and harness for a 1967 or even 1968 model guitar. This is a PRE-T-top pickup -- see pictures -- and therefore very close to the same as PAFs. This setup is correct for models like ES-335 ES-175, SG, maybe Super 400, Trini Lopez etc, I'm not sure all which models exactly used this setup but if you're looking for them I bet you do.

Harness includes the original pots, wiring, witchcraft jack and switch and the solder joints all look original and un-tampered with. Only one of the pots has the readable code 13766xx -- one other shows 1376xxx but the rest of the pot codes -- and the final digits of both mentioned -- are under solder and not visible. But they all clearly match and have obviously been connected since 1966 as the solder is unbroken.

A note on the partial blue tape on the pickup -- it's unusual, and some folks will wonder about it, but in my estimation it clearly came that way from the factory because the tape extends into the interior of the pickup between the bobbins (so wasn't wrapped later) and that pickup does not look like it's ever been separated from the harness -- the solder is unbroken. So the tape is partially black, as is usual, and perhaps they ran out during assembly at the factory and for whatever reason, used part blue. It's one of those Gibson anomalies I've seen from time to time, though I've never seen this particular one. Also the pickup has the original vintage orange wire visible through the holes on top and the original white lead wire (inside the shielding) which are all correct for that period, and the tape lights up under blacklight, showing it's old -- all of which points to it originally having come that way from the factory.

All the pots, jack and switch work, but of course there's some oxidation -- everything was working fine in the guitar, which came with a broken neck and thus is being parted out. But please know that old pots may be a little scratchy and need spraying out, and vintage jacks and switches may need cleaning etc or adjustment to work perfectly... These are also for sale on other sites so if they sell there they may not be available here, sorry!

I'll consider reasonable offers but I'm going to take the highest -- please don't lowball me, you'll be wasting your time and mine. If you're restoring a 1960s Gibson and need these parts, they're well worth the price! Please see my other listings for more vintage guitar items and accessories, including more original ES-335 items. Shipping price reflects added insurance to cover valuable item -- overseas shipping prices have increased greatly recently, sorry! But we want to make sure they arrive safely and are insured against loss or damage.
