Up for sale is a completely original, stunning Fender Japan '69 Reissue Mustang (Model MG69) in the highly desirable Sonic Blue finish. This guitar features a U-serial number (U021334), dating its production to the legendary FujiGen Gakki factory era (circa 1995–1996). Additionally, this guitar features the original Fender 50th Anniversary commemorative sticker on the back of the headstock, firmly anchoring its production to this iconic 1996 milestone year.
Mid-90s Japanese offsets are world-renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship, rivaling or exceeding American builds of the same era. This particular model captures the classic 1969 specs perfectly, including the slim neck profile, short-scale playability, and distinct body contours. The Sonic Blue finish has aged beautifully and evenly over the last 30 years.I purchased this guitar around 1996/1997 and have taken excellent care of it.
