Beautiful handcrafted Lichty T-18 tenor ukulele built by luthier Jay Lichty of Lichty Guitars in Tryon, North Carolina.

Dated September 2011, this is a high-end, individually handcrafted tenor featuring a gorgeous combination of a redwood soundboard with Indian rosewood back and sides, along with extensive paua / abalone appointments and a player-facing side soundport.

Lichty instruments were individually built by Jay rather than mass-produced, with an emphasis on premium tonewoods, playability, and fine custom craftsmanship. This T-18 is a particularly attractive early example of his work.

CONDITION:

Overall in good, clean condition with normal signs of previous use and handling.

The instrument presents beautifully, with a rich gloss finish and especially attractive wood throughout. The Indian rosewood back and sides display dramatic dark grain and color variation, while the warm-colored top is complemented beautifully by the paua / abalone rosette and matching shell appointments.

This instrument came from the collection of a serious longtime adult ukulele player and appears to have been regularly played, enjoyed, and thoughtfully cared for.

Includes the pictured fitted hardshell case.
