The 1984 Explorer EX features a solid mahogany body for a light but balanced weight that’s perfect for long hours on stage and in rehearsal. mahogany also gives the 1984 EX subtle tonal shades and a biting sustain when played at loud volume. The mahogany neck is hand-fitted and glued into the body and features a 24.75” scale, a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, a 1.68” nut width, and a 12” radius. You'll also notice the "1984" Explorer has no pickguard, giving the guitar a sleek, uncluttered and modern look.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
