Yamaha B100II Vintage Bass Amp Head — Recently Serviced
Same exact model as Mike Dirnt's! This is a great opportunity to grab one of Yamaha's classic vintage bass heads without paying the Mike Dirnt provenance premium.
This B100II is in good overall condition and works perfectly. It runs completely quiet, with no scratchy pots or noisy controls, and was recently serviced at Rebound Repair in Chicago. One of the pots was replaced during the service. Most of the knobs are missing the silver heads, but Yamaha designed these so well that even the headless knobs come with little divot indicators. I've painted in those divots with white paint to make them more visible. Some tolex is coming off on the bottom panel. See photos.
These Yamaha heads are seriously underrated: powerful, punchy, articulate, and capable of a lot of character while retaining the clarity and low end that make them great bass amps. Plus the look cool as hell. Great piece of vintage bass gear.
