Very Early 1998 Fulltone Supa-Trem ST-1 Best Trem Ever!

I've been a tremolo fanatic for many years, always looking for the best unit that conveys a vintage amp trem, but allows you to control it with your feet. This is it. I've tried or owned every other trem you can think of. (feel free to ask me) It doesn't get any better than this one. The doubling switch alone is amazing. So why am I selling it? Reason 1: Please read the section down below that explains why I'm liquidating all my gems. Reason 2: I've got two of them. 😉

This is a unique, OG version of this pedal from 1998. Note the handwritten serial number on the outer casing and then also on the inside circuit board. 1052 is an early production number. Also note that it comes with the white control knobs that came along much later, instead of the honking big black knobs that most production examples from this era were made with. This is how I purchased it. I did not upgrade or change any aspects of this pedal. I was working at a music shop when I got it - WAAAY before the boutique pedal craze had really taken hold. I was able to speak to Mike about this order at the time. Look up this pedal on Reverb and elsewhere and you will have difficulty locating one with white knobs.

Don't look any further if you want the best old-school tremolo encased in a foot-friendly pedalboard-ready unit. I'm including this language from Fulltone, but please, feel free to ask me anything about the details of playing live with this pedal.

The Fulltone Supa-Trem is a boutique analog tremolo pedal designed to capture the warm, pulsing character of vintage tube amp tremolos while adding modern flexibility and control. Built with audiophile-grade components and featuring a true analog signal path, it delivers a lush, musical tremolo effect that sits perfectly in any mix.

Controls include Speed, Mix, and Hard/Soft mode. Speed adjusts the rate of the tremolo, from slow, rolling pulses to fast, choppy rhythms. Mix allows you to blend the dry and effected signals, making it possible to dial in subtle movement or full, pronounced tremolo. The Hard/Soft switch changes the waveform character, from smooth, sine-like pulses to sharp, staccato modulation. An onboard footswitch enables instant speed doubling, perfect for creating dramatic rhythmic shifts on stage.

Hand-built in the USA, the Supa-Trem is housed in a rugged chassis with true bypass switching for pure signal integrity. Its versatility, warm analog sound, and performance-friendly features have made it one of the most respected tremolo pedals among professional players.

My Story.
If you're not interested, or have heard this already and are just looking for the sale deets - just head to the checkout area.

I've been playing guitar since I was 11, in and out of so many local bands (I'm sure like many of you) I can't count them all. I have taught neighborhood kids beginning guitar for many years. I had a nice professional career in the studio composing and performing music for TV, radio and film for about 20 years until 2006.

I love everything about guitars and gear - I love the hunt for that special guitar/amp/stomp box/sound and have done a lot of it in the past ten years. Some would call me a ̶h̶o̶a̶r̶d̶e̶r̶ but I prefer "collector".

Up until now.

Why I am selling off EVERYTHING.
In the past couple years, my personal situation has shifted thusly:

  • My self-owned career day business has taken pretty large setbacks actually. I won't drag it out or take a political stand here. But I will summarize it like this with two words - "Government" + "Contracts".

Not looking for pity or even empathy, I accept the situation and it's my job to drive sales and get new projects and clients. And believe me, I realize that there are loads of folks who have been hit harder than I have. But as I mentioned, these hits came out nowhere, and have been hard to rebound from so far. You'll see why in a minute here.
  • Last year, my CPA firm revealed to me that I owe $20,400 in back taxes from 2023's taxes due to various errors (none on their part, naturally) and so, I am now in debt to the IRS and slowly trying to get out of it.
  • This next one is a bit different and difficult to be jokey about. Between 2018 and 2023 I underwent THREE spinal fusion surgeries. I have titanium in my lower back that has been installed and then relocated three times now. That has had a bit of an impact on my day-to-day mobility. And pain level.
  • But then, in November, 2024 I had a Grand Mal brain seizure completely out of the blue. That and the corresponding 911 ambulance ride added even more debt.

Well, whatever lesson I was supposed to have learned by that first seizure - apparently I didn't learn it. Between last November and this past October, 2025 I have had FOUR more Grand Mal Brain Seizures, and TWO CTI Mini Strokes, as well as four more ambulance rides to the ER.
  • BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
It's now August 2026 and I was just getting a handle on some of the medical things in Spring when I went into the ER with shortness of breath on June 28. Well, it turns out that I HAVE multiple Pulmonary Embolisms in both lungs, and DVT blood clots down both legs. I mean? Can I get a WTF?

So now, in addition to everything else I have to give myself blood thinner injections in the stomach two times a day.

    Whew.

I understand that it sounds like I'm laying it on thick, but I will swear on my life that this is exactly what I've been going through with NO embellishment. This is where I'll stop throwing dollar amounts out there. I think you've all been part of the world long enough to know how much money that all represents.

So if I'm not angling for pity sales, why am I telling you all this, and what does it mean to you? Well first up:

  • I am selling off as much of my collection as I can bear right now. There are some things which are unique, some things which are rare, and some things that are just great examples of gear you might be looking for in excellent shape.
  • I'm motivated to sell. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not dying (yet). I can handle letting some of these things sit until they get what $$ is right for them. But on the other hand, I'm trying to start lower than any other similar stuff on Reverb. And if you make an offer, I will legit consider it.
  • I will need some grace from you. I'll be needing some time to get larger items packed and shipped. In the case of a stomp box, not so much. They will be boxed and shipped the next day. But for things like an amp or guitar, it may take me a few more days to find the right packaging, and to get it picked up etc.

That's kind of it, really. Other than to say that I've got several guitars that are now for sale, a couple amps, and approximately 34 high-end, effects stomp boxes. I will be putting them all up ASAP.
So have at it, and if you have any questions - please ask away.
I appreciate it,

- Scot (Radioscooter)
