Steinberg HALion 7 Sampler and Sound Design Instrument (Activation Card)

HALion 7 is Steinberg's flagship sampler and sound design instrument, and it is the engine a great many commercial libraries are built to run inside, including Steinberg's own Iconica and Absolute collections. It combines six forms of synthesis with a high performance sample engine, scripting and a time stretch and resynthesis algorithm, in one instrument.

Out of the box it is more than 35 GB of content, 3,700 presets and 15 instruments, from the Anima wavetable synth and the Model C tonewheel organ to Studio Strings and Hot Brass, plus more than 70 effects. So it is a playable instrument on the day it installs, not only a platform for other people's libraries.

Version 7 added FM synthesis and spectral synthesis alongside a rebuilt modulation system, with the FM Lab and Tales instruments built on them. HALion 7.5, the free 25th anniversary update, adds MPE support, Spectral Snapshots and real time Decompose, which splits a sample into its transient, tonal and noise components as it plays.

Please note: HALion 7 is the full creator version. Libraries written for it, such as Iconica Opus and Absolute 7, are separate purchases, and many of them will also load in the free HALion Sonic 7 player. Buy HALion 7 when you want to build and edit instruments rather than only play them.
