The Xotic Custom Shop BB Preamp Comp combines the core preamp circuitry of the BB Preamp with selectable compression modes. A three-position switch lets you choose standard compression, the higher-compression Andy Timmons voicing, or bypass the compressor entirely. Active two-band EQ provides ±15 dB of boost or cut at bass and treble frequencies, and the pre-gain stage can be dialed from clean boost to smooth, compressed overdrive.

True-bypass switching keeps your signal path clean when the pedal is off. The pedal runs on a standard 9 V battery or an optional 9 V DC adapter and draws a maximum of 10 mA.
