Since its introduction in 1993, Pendulum's SPS-1 has been recognized as a world leader in sound quality and flexibility for processing acoustic instruments in true stereo. With two channels of fully parametric EQ and studio-quality mic preamps, the SPS-1 can easily adapt to any combination of instrument pickups, internal mics, or external mics. I have used this SPS-1 on a Collings OM2A since the time it was new.

The SPS-1 is often used with a "two pickup" preamp module (Pickup/Pickup or Pickup/Mic) to individually process two pickups or a pickup and an internal mic in stereo. The guitar this preamp has been used on has a K&K Pure Mini pickup and a AKG C516ML internal mic and sounds much more "acoustic" with these two signals blended than with either individual signal. The pickup/mic preamp module that came with the preamp is included. Alternatively, you can blend the pickup and mic in Channel 1 with a vocal mic in Channel 2. Can also be used as two channels of parametric EQ during mixdown.

This flexibility comes with no sacrifice in sound quality. The Pendulum Audio SPS-1 has an exceptionally clean and quiet all-analog signal path. Requires 1U rack space. Requires 1/4" TRS output jack on instrument in order to get full benefit of the acoustic preamp system.

The acoustic instrument preamp system and the preamp module are in excellent condition and have no issues. An operating manual is included.
