A wonderful early 1950’s Orpheum branded Kay K-161 thin twin also known as the ‘Jimmy reed’ guitar in fantastic playing shape!
This thin twin has had a full professional refret, a new nut and a vintage six saddle bridge installed. It plays and sounds absolutely wonderful. Along with the beautiful flame maple figuring, The slim lipstick pickups deliver a very unique warmth and twang! all other parts appear to be original!
There is one small hairline crack on the sides and the guitar seems to have had some old overspray on the top but we are not 100% sure.
It’s got a very chunky neck and it is really ready to go and be played. comes in its original cardboard case which is not in very good condition.
