1985 Fender Strat MIJ ST72-70
Serial Number E541974 - Fujigen
Based on Billy Corgan's Gish Strat
Pickups are original USA made Alnico single coils, electronics are replaced since old ones didn't work at all anymore. Pictured!
^ Previously had Murray Gish pickups. Someone bought just the pickups, so the listing updated.
ORIGINAL 1993 Siamese Dream release sticker - can remove if desired
Set up by luthier (me) lower than Fender Factory Spec - fret polish, fretboard scraped and conditioned, nut slots cut to proper height, the whole deal.
Original electronics were bad - replaced with Bourns pots - modified neck/middle tone to a .01uf capacitor - keeps midrange when rolled off.
Comes with original USA Alnico pickups as pictured and original gigbag/backplate. The pickguard looks like it was replaced before I took ownership.
Guitar has some pretty decent yellowing and a nice tanline where a different round sticker was placed near the jack. Also pictured and mostly covered by the SP sticker.
Sounds great, plays great, just not for me.
Ships in 1-2 days, offers considered.
