For sale is a beautiful 2022 Heritage Custom Shop Custom Core H-150 Artisan Aged in Dark Cherry Sunburst, handcrafted in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This is an especially attractive example with a strongly figured curly maple top. The flame has a lot of movement and changes considerably depending on lighting and viewing angle — it can look relatively subtle straight-on and then really come alive from an angle. The Dark Cherry Sunburst finish works especially well with the figure and gives the guitar a classic late-’50s-style appearance.

This guitar is completely original and unmodified. The pickups, electronics, tuners, bridge, tailpiece, plastics and hardware are all original to the guitar.

It is from Heritage’s Custom Shop / Custom Core line and features the factory Artisan Aged treatment. The finish checking, aged nickel hardware, patina, small dings, marks and other wear seen in the photos are part of the intentional factory aging process and give the guitar a very convincing broken-in vintage appearance.

Condition

The guitar is in excellent overall condition for an Artisan Aged instrument.

Please keep in mind that this model was intentionally aged at the Heritage Custom Shop when new. The lacquer checking, hardware oxidation/patina, finish wear, small marks and dings visible in the photos are characteristic of the factory Artisan Aged treatment rather than evidence of abuse or heavy post-purchase wear.

I have tried to photograph the guitar from several angles so the condition, aging and maple figure can be seen accurately. Please review all photos carefully.

The guitar plays and functions as it should and is 100% original with no modifications.

This is a particularly nice example of the Custom Core H-150, with a considerably more figured top than many examples I’ve seen. Between the flame, Dark Cherry Sunburst finish and Artisan Aged treatment, it has a fantastic vintage look while retaining the construction and consistency of a modern Heritage Custom Shop instrument.

It is also a relatively comfortable weight for this style of guitar at approximately 8 lbs 10.5 oz.
