This Mesa Engineering 2x15 EV Bass Cabinet is owned by Mike Dirnt.
Loaded with EV speakers, this is one of the Mesa cabinets that were part of Mike's touring rig for years. Light wear and tear and overall pretty clean; the jack is a little finicky but it is working and sounding great.
At the end of Green Day shows these cabinets became part of the performance, often pushed over as Tré's drum set went up in flames. "When the chaos ensues, we all join in. A lot of the times my basses would end up in the fire, at the end of all the chaos. Usually there was a 20-foot fire going on, and my bass and Tré's kit are burning while Billie's playing 'Time of Your Life'—it was pretty awesome looking, if you look up old videos of it. Not to mention all my amps would go over at that point too. So sometimes you'd have broken basses—those amps were very heavy, so as you pushed them over the whole stage would bounce. ... They're incredible cabinets. Just bulletproof, incredible cabinets, and just with the way they look—shit, I should keep one and use it as a coffee table, 'cause they're really cool. I played those things for years—they're incredible."
