For sale is a B.C. Rich Assassin N.J. Series from around 2000, serial number F2100328.

The Assassin is one of the less commonly seen B.C. Rich models from this period. Unlike Warlocks and Mockingbirds, older N.J. Series Assassins appear only occasionally on the used market, which makes this a much less obvious and more interesting example of early-2000s B.C. Rich production.

This is not a recent budget metal guitar. It is an approximately 25-year-old B.C. Rich that has been played, maintained and professionally serviced, rather than stored away as an unfinished project.

The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker. This is a later modification, but one that suits the instrument very well and gives the guitar a much more distinctive bridge sound than the standard factory configuration. The neck pickup remains B.C. Rich.

About a year ago, the guitar underwent professional luthier service, including:

  • fret cleaning and leveling,
  • neck adjustment,
  • intonation setup,
  • string action setup,
  • electronics repair and servicing.

As a result, the instrument is fully playable and does not require immediate restoration or basic corrective work after purchase.

The guitar shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with its age. I have not tried to cosmetically restore or refinish it for sale; I would rather keep the instrument honest and preserve its original character.

The main appeal of this guitar is the instrument itself rather than simply its pickup configuration. Older Assassin N.J. Series examples are not something that appears regularly, and finding another one in comparable condition with an SH-13 already installed may take some time.

I am not in a rush to sell, so I am open to reasonable offers, but I am not looking for a quick-sale price.

The guitar will be carefully packed for shipping in its hard case.
