McClostone 5E3 Boutique Hand-wired Amplifier

This is a lightly played McClostone 5E3 guitar amplifier made right here in Colorado! Aaron McCloskey hand wires these in Loveland, CO. On this particular build, he nailed all of the classic aspects of a Fender 5E3 while adding two switches on the back that add negative feedback to the circuit. One switch lowers the power to 10% making it perfect for bedroom volumes. The other switch has three positions for added versitility. Regular 5E3, removes a bypass capacitor from the gain stage, and adding a negative feedback. The result is a much more usable amplifier than the original. It'll still do the original grit, but with the negative feedback switch, it adds headroom which is vital for most people using pedals. At around 12 W, this amplifier can get great tones at bedroom levels or keep up with a band without becoming overpowering.

The Weber Classic Alnico speaker sounds phenomenal and has the right amount of breakup for the amplifier. It pairs so nicely!
