2X Vintage Neumann KM-53a Omnidirectional Tube Condenser Microphones with KK83 capsules

I am offering two beautiful Neumann KM53 microphones that have been professionally adapted to accept NOS KK83 capsules. They are now effectively KM63s and have an identical frequency response to the KM63 (see the included frequency-response curve).

This conversion was a long and very costly process, requiring a great deal of time, effort, and specialist work. Please see the accompanying invoice for documentation of the work carried out.

The microphones were serviced by Andreas Stenzel, who also had custom adapters made so that NOS KK83 capsules could be used with the original KM53 bodies. The result is a matched pair with the characteristic KM63 frequency response.

The original Neumann KM53 heads and the original KM53 capsules are also included. Unfortunately, the old KM53 capsules could not be reskinned, but I am including them with the set for completeness and provenance.

• A power supply built by Ashley Styles of Saturn Sound
• Original Neumann KM53 heads and capsules
• Documentation/invoice for the work
• Frequency-response curve

The power supply functions perfectly and has been tested by Andreas Stenzel.
