1969 Fender Telecaster – Diablo Guitars Black Nitro Hot Rod Restoration

DESCRIPTION

This is an exceptionally cool 1969 Fender Telecaster, professionally restored and refinished by Diablo Guitars as a stripped-down, black-nitro REAL vintage hot rod.

Diablo took a well-worn vintage Telecaster and brought it back as a serious player, and visually this guitar is an absolute knockout. The thin black nitro finish allows the ash grain to remain clearly visible through the black, giving the body an almost faux-bound appearance around the edges depending on the light. It has the understated look of an old black Tele from across the room, but up close the grain, checking, wear and relic work give it tremendous depth and character.

It is easily one of the coolest-looking vintage Telecasters I’ve owned.

The Fender neck is clearly date-stamped 1969, and the guitar was sold and documented by Diablo Guitars as a 1969 Fender Telecaster. The original Diablo build/spec card is included with the guitar.

This is a professionally restored, refinished and upgraded vintage Fender built to be played.

The electronics are cleanly sorted and the guitar is currently sounding exactly as a great Tele should: articulate, lively and unmistakably Telecaster, with plenty of authority from the Lucky Dog pickup set.

A number of parts that accompanied the guitar have also been retained and will be included, including the additional pots/capacitors and even the removed frets from the previous refret. The Diablo Guitars documentation/build card is also included.

What makes this guitar special is that it is a genuine late-’60s Vintage Fender guitar professionally restored by Diablo Guitars, the black nitro over visible ash grain, the aged maple neck and the carefully chosen replacement components.

It has the look and attitude of a high-end Fender Custom Shop build, except the centerpiece here is an actual 1969 Fender Telecaster.

A killer vintage Tele for somebody who wants the character and history of a late-’60s Fender without needing to own a museum at twice the price. late 60’s and 70’s telecaster pickups are widely regarded as inferior to ones from the early 60’s versions, the upgrade as already been done with exceptional sounding Lucky Dog pickups.

Please review all photographs closely for condition and finish wear. The guitar is refinished/restored and contains replacement components as described above, and for a vintage guitar over 50 years old in very good condition.

Please ask any questions before buying, I do not offer refunds either full or partial of any kind period, the guitar is sold as is in functioning condition as pictured and carefully documented above. Many thanks
