Up for sale is a stunning, shred-ready 2006 Jackson USA Select Soloist SL2H in a gorgeous Transparent Blue Stain over a Flamed Maple Top. Serial number U17160 stamps this firmly in the highly regarded mid-2000s era of production. Fretboard Detail & Condition Update (Please Read)

While taking detailed close-up photos for an interested buyer, I noticed a few minor, superficial hairline grain checks on the premium ebony fretboard. The primary one runs from near the nut down to the second fret. As is common with high-end, dense ebony boards as they age, this is a natural settling of the wood grain over time. It is completely stable, perfectly tight, and has absolutely no gap or separation. You cannot feel it at all while playing, and it has zero impact on the guitar's structural integrity or playability. I have uploaded high-resolution macro photos of the fretboard to the gallery for full transparency. I can include video if necessary.

The Sound & Playability

Built for high-performance players, this guitar features premium neck-through construction with a quarter-sawn maple neck and alder body wings. This architecture creates massive sustain, snappy note definition, and effortless upper-fret access all the way to the 24th fret. Equipped with a dual-humbucker (HH) configuration and a genuine locking Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, it stays perfectly in tune through aggressive dive bombs and heavy riffing. The premium bound ebony fretboard features a 12"-16" compound radius that is fast, sleek, and exceptionally comfortable.

Condition Report

This guitar has been well-loved and carefully looked after, maintaining a Very Good overall cosmetic and structural condition status.

• The Frets & Fretboard: Aside from the minor, superficial hairline grain checks noted above, the jumbo frets themselves are immaculate with very little wear. The board is clean, properly hydrated, and smooth. The frets have plenty of life left with no deep pitting or problematic grooves, playing fast and clean up and down the neck with zero dead spots.
• The Back: There is one localized ding located on the back upper-right corner of the body (clearly documented in the photos).
• The Front: There is minor, ordinary play rash located directly at the bottom edge of the bridge pickup ring/surround from picking.

Aside from those localized cosmetic spots, the transparent finish is exceptionally brilliant, the flamed maple top looks spectacular, and all hardware functions flawlessly.
