This beautiful instrument from 1953 is constructed of Adirondack Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood. It is all-original and remains structurally sound, with only normal wear from many years of careful use. I purchased it in 1961, as its second owner, while attending Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID.
It traveled with me for many years of performing in Idaho, Washington and Alaska. One memorable event occurred in July of 1965 while our band was playing at the Outpost music venue in Anchorage, Alaska. The building caught fire and everyone evacuated. We managed to rescue most of our equipment, including this guitar, though the original case was lost in the fire. It was quickly replaced with a high-quality hard shell case. The case has good hinges and latches, and only the lock is broken.
Over the decades, this instrument has been used for:
-live band performances
-school and community events
-weddings and funerals
-graveside services in country cemeteries
Included with the instrument is a multipage account of my history with this guitar, spanning more than 60 years.
I hope it will be appreciated and cared for by its next owner.
