Joe Meek VC6 Meekbox – Channel Strip (Mic Pre / Optical Compressor / Enhancer)

Made in England – PCB marked 2/98 v2.05 (February 1998)

Original late-1990s UK-built VC6 (the full-rack “Meekbox”). These early British-made units are the ones most people prefer.

This model was originally released in late 1997.

Unit Weight: 2 lbs 11 oz

Condition: Very good. Fully working and sounds great. Normal light rack rash and minor cosmetic wear from studio and live use, but nothing that affects performance. All knobs, switches, and LEDs function correctly. Powers up and passes clean audio with the classic Joemeek optical compression and enhancer.

I used this for years in my main rig. It’s served me well and I’m only selling because I’m downsizing to a smaller, lightweight jazz setup. Not in a rush.
