The Ampster is a fully analog, single-tube amp and speaker simulator built by East Sound Research in Denmark. It sits at the end of your pedal chain and gives you a real amp’s feel and response with zero latency — no modeling, no menus.

Controls are exactly what you’d expect from an amp: Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, and Master. A footswitchable Cabinet selector toggles between a 2x12 open-back and a 4x12 closed-back voicing, with an LED showing which is active. There’s also a Mute footswitch for silent tuning and stage changes.

Around back: balanced XLR DI out for the console or interface, a Link out to feed a stage amp or powered speaker, a series effects loop send and return, a ground lift, a three-position voicing switch for low-end control, and a remote input for use with switchers like the Carl Martin Octa-Switch.

Worth noting: this pedal needs a regulated 9V 1A supply and draws up to 600mA, which is more than most pedalboard power bricks will deliver on a single output. The correct factory adapter and aftermarket is included, so you’re ready to go out of the box.
