1977 Music Man StingRay Bass – Black – Very Early Serial Number B004184

For sale is a fantastic 1977 Music Man StingRay Bass in classic Black finish, featuring a very early serial number: B004184.

This is a highly desirable early StingRay from the original 1970s Music Man era — the period that made the model legendary. The StingRay is one of the most iconic bass designs ever made, known for its powerful humbucker tone, active electronics, huge punch and unmistakable presence in the mix.

This example has the classic look and feel of an early Music Man bass: bold, solid, resonant and extremely inspiring to play. The black finish gives it a strong, timeless stage presence, while the tone is everything you want from a great vintage StingRay — deep, tight low end, aggressive attack, growly mids and plenty of clarity.

The bass also still has a protective sticker on the back, a very cool detail that adds to its vintage character and originality.
