Here’s a rare Rickenbacker 1993 Plus Custom 12-string “Easy-Player” electric guitar from 2021. It’s finished in Jetglo black. It is in excellent condition, and comes with its factory hard case. It weighs about 9.5 lbs.

The 2021 Rickenbacker 1993 Plus 12 "Easy-Player" Custom is an extremely rare, highly customized boutique instrument rather than a factory-limited edition. While the base model - the Rickenbacker 1993Plus - is a standard production 12-string reissued with a slightly wider neck for modern comfort, the "Pro-Shop Easy-Player Custom" versions are one-off or ultra-small batch custom builds modified by high-end third-party custom shops.

Why is it so rare?

    •    Third-Party Custom Shop Origins: Rickenbacker does not operate a traditional "Pro Shop" or "Custom Shop" for individualized ordering. These specific guitars are heavily customized by premier boutique custom outfits like Trademark Classics Custom Shop.   

    •    Extensive Handmade Upgrades: Each "Easy-Player" model undergoes individual luthier work to overcome standard Rickenbacker playability quirks. The modifications typically include:

    •    Shaving and reshaping the nut to reduce string tension at the lower frets.

    •    Leveling, crowning, and heavily polishing the frets and fingerboard for buttery-smooth action.

    •    Custom aesthetic adjustments, such as smoothing out the factory "rough cut" F-holes and finishing them with premium gold or chrome trim.

    •    Ultra-Low Supply: Because these require countless hours of individual master-luthier bench time on top of a hard-to-source base instrument, they are generally produced as single, unique pieces or fewer than 5 units a year.

This one was purchased new 5 years ago, and used very sparingly in a home studio environment. The only (slight) issue with it is actually with the case - the left clasp doesn’t lay flat, though it still functions.

The cost of shipping includes packing materials and full insurance. It's calculated based on a trip across the country. If you are significantly closer, I can refund the difference to you. Local pickup is also appreciated.
