The Benson Amps Deep Sea Diver Fuzz-Echo brings the signature sonic signature of Jessica Dobson (frontwoman of indie rock band Deep Sea Diver) directly to your pedalboard. Developed over three years of intensive design, this versatile box merges a wide-ranging silicon fuzz with a warm, lo-fi echo. Rather than acting as two separate utilities stitched together, both sides of the circuit were meticulously voiced to complement each other, offering tones that range from glassy treble boosts and saturated wooly fuzz to splatty gated textures and atmospheric delay landscapes.

At its foundation, the fuzz circuit utilizes a modified silicon three-transistor design—a creative blend inspired by classic Tone Bender Mk1.5 and Mk2 circuits. Interactive Bias and Gate controls allow you to sculpt the gain, response, and overall EQ profile, sweeping from smooth sustain to aggressive, dynamic clipping. The echo section is built around a tuned PT2399 digital delay chip, delivering warm, analog-style repeats with intuitive Time, Feedback, and Echo Level controls. For maximum sound design potential, holding the footswitch down while powering the pedal flips the effect order in the signal path—allowing you to run the lo-fi echo before the fuzz for shoegaze-ready distortion or after the fuzz for traditional spatial depth.

Crafted with premium components and housed in a durable enclosure, the Deep Sea Diver is built for the rigors of tour and studio work alike. It features intelligent footswitch control, allowing you to hold down the switch during play to send the delay into momentary, self-oscillating feedback for expressive ambient swells.
