Golden Age Project Comp-3A with Revive Audio Full Mod (Cinemag Transformer & Kenetek T4B Opto)
Our users rate Reverb
Selling my Golden Age Project COMP-3A optical compressor with the FULL Revive Audio modification package that includes the upgraded transformers and T4B opto cell.
Revive’s modification significantly upgrades the stock COMP-3A, including replacement of the factory magnetics with Cinemag/Altran transformers, along with audio-path, capacitor, power-supply, and other component upgrades intended to improve headroom, frequency extension, noise performance, and overall response.
The Kenetek T4B replaces the stock optical cell and gives the unit a high-quality LA-3A-style compression response.
Features include:
- LA-3A-style solid-state optical compression
- Revive Audio modification package
- Kenetek T4B opto cell
- Upgraded Cinemag/Altran transformers
- Discrete signal path
- Transformer-balanced input and output
- Compress / Limit modes
- HF sidechain control
- Hardwire bypass
- Stereo-link capability
- XLR and TRS I/O
- 2RU half-rack chassis
Fully functional and sounds exactly as it should. Selling simply because I’m going in a different direction with my compression setup.
Will ship fast, well packed, insured, with power supply original box and T4B.
