Hand-built TTSH 2600 Mini Meanie V4, assembled from the DIY kit by BCM Analog. BCM Analog has a shop here on Reverb, so the build has clear provenance.
Fully functional with no major issues. There is a mildly elevated noise floor when the reverb level is turned all the way up. Also, the power supply holds securely in place, although the connector does not make a particularly strong “click” when plugged in. Neither of these affect normal operation.
It has been well cared for. I added slider caps, replaced the preamp drive knob with one matching the original style, and added rubber caps to the calibration ports around the faceplate.
It looks and sounds incredible, and is built like a tank. Unlike other 2600 clones, the jacks are chassis-mounted and secured to the faceplate rather than being mounted directly to the PCB, which keeps physical strain off the circuit board. It also uses through-hole construction, making it substantially more serviceable and repairable than modern surface-mount designs. This is the kind of synth you can maintain for decades and pass down to your kids. It will definitely survive the apocalypse.
