Up for sale, a 1990 Orville by Gibson ES-335 in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This Orville is an official Gibson-licensed guitar and a result of a partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor Yamano Gakki. An upscale model beyond the specs of the standard Orville line, the “Orville by Gibson” models were outfitted from the factory with Gibson USA pickups.

Weighing 8lbs 6oz, the semi-hollow maple construction ensures this guitar has great natural resonance and treble chime. The pair of Gibson 490R and 490T humbuckers are wound in the vein of a PAF with a modern edge and more accentuated midrange. The bridge pickup has a sweet growl and bite, while the neck pickup is bold and round with a clear percussive chop. This ES-335 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

This gloss Sunburst finish is very vintage accurate in its tint and saturation, with light buckle wear on the back and various dings, scuffs and small finish chips from use. There’s similar shallow wear on the neck carve, worn smooth from contact with the palm.
