Recent 2024- version. Mint condition, lightly played. Original owner, purchased new in 2026 from authorized dealer.
All the tonal greatness of an SJ200 with richer bass due to the rosewood back and sides. Truly, one of the all-time classic acoustics. Some very slight "orange peel" on the edge of the soundhole near the pickup, almost too small to photograph.
The Gibson SJ-200 is the world’s most famous acoustic guitar and well deserves its designation as the “King of the Flat-Tops.” Often made with a maple back and sides, the earliest examples were instead made with rosewood bodies.
Now Gibson is proud to release the SJ-200 Standard Rosewood, bringing rosewood back to this highly acclaimed and cherished model. In addition to the rosewood back and sides, it features a Sitka spruce top, a mahogany neck with a comfortable round profile and a rosewood fretboard with graduated crown mother-of-pearl inlays, a two-bar moustache bridge, TUSQ® bridge pins, saddle, and nut, and gold Grover® Imperial™ tuners. It also comes equipped with the L.R. Baggs™ Anthem active under-saddle pickup and microphone system for superb studio-quality sound when plugged in, whether you’re recording or playing live.
Gibson hardshell case is included.
