The PRS SE Hollowbody Standard in McCarty Sunburst combines the warmth and resonance of a genuine hollowbody electric with the familiar feel and versatility of the PRS SE range.

Its all-mahogany hollow body, Wide Fat mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard give it a warm, lively response, while twin PRS 58/15 “S” humbuckers cover everything from smooth jazz and blues tones through to rock, indie and expressive lead playing.

This pre-owned example is offered in Very Good Condition.

Genuine Hollowbody Construction

Unlike a conventional semi-hollow guitar with a substantial centre block, the SE Hollowbody Standard uses a genuinely hollow construction.

This gives the guitar a lively, resonant feel with more acoustic character than a typical solidbody, while its compact dimensions keep it comfortable and practical for everyday playing.

All-Mahogany Body

The Hollowbody Standard uses mahogany for the top, middle and back, giving it a warm, rounded tonal foundation with plenty of midrange character.

This also distinguishes it from the SE Hollowbody II, which uses maple top and back construction.

PRS 58/15 “S” Humbuckers

The twin 58/15 “S” humbuckers offer a clear, balanced and vintage-inspired voice.

The neck pickup works beautifully for jazz, blues and clean sounds, while the bridge has enough definition and bite for rock, indie and overdriven lead tones.

Controls are simple:

• Master volume

• Master tone

• 3-way pickup selector

Fair Deal Music Verdict

The PRS SE Hollowbody Standard is a great choice for players who want the resonance and tactile feel of a fully hollow guitar without moving to a large traditional jazz box.

Its combination of all-mahogany construction, ebony fingerboard, Wide Fat neck and 58/15 “S” humbuckers makes it versatile enough for jazz, blues, rock, indie, studio work and live performance.

Presented in Very Good Condition, this is a strong pre-owned example with plenty of character and versatility.
