A 1972 Fender Mustang in Competition Red has just arrived!!

This 1972 model features serial number 372873, neck date 16JUN72B, and pot date 304-7239.

The Fender Mustang Competition is a special edition model of the Mustang that debuted in the late 1960s. With its retro, pop-inspired look and unique specifications, it remains a highly popular series to this day. This particular guitar is red.

Neck Date: 16SEP72B; the neck and body have been adjusted using shims.

The body is also original, though the finish has softened and there are some areas where it appears to have melted. The pickups feature gray bobbins. The g72h date is slightly visible, confirming these are the original pickups. Other components, such as the pots and capacitors, are also original.

As for its condition, there are some scratches and dents typical for its age, but playability is good.
