This 1989 ESP George Lynch Purple Tiger is in excellent condition. This instrument shows only very light signs of play wear including a few very light pick scratches, a couple of very minor dings on the body and the tremolo cavity cover plate is missing in action. Otherwise, this ESP is exceptionally tidy and vibrant! This example was hand signed by George Lynch on the back of the peghead. This guitar was built in Japan in 1989 and features a solid maple body with a righteous looking Purple Tiger sunburst finish, an Original Floyd Rose tremolo tailpiece, a Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon in the bridge position and an SL-1 single coil in the neck position, a one piece hard rock maple neck with the George Lynch “U” shaped profile, a jet black ebony fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets and 1 3/4” nut width. The original tremolo bar is included.

The neck on this ESP feels incredible in the hand and the thin George Lynch “U” shaped profile is super fast and comfortable. The fret wire on this example is in excellent condition showing only minor wear. It is tall and free of any divots. This guitar has received a pro set up so it plays outstanding up and down the super dark ebony fingerboard with low smooth action and spot on intonation. The original Floyd Rose operates very smoothly and stays in tune like a champ. This guitar sounds fantastic and the original Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon absolutely rips through a distorted amp! This instrument delivers a super tight articulate yet slightly woody tone that is perfect for any sort of heavy rock, blues and metal and the single coil sounds fantastic for clean tones and thick overdriven leads - An exceptionally cool sounding guitar that is unexpectedly very versatile! ESP always has and still builds exceptionally fine top notch instruments and although brand new Custom Shop examples of this model are still being produced… the originals are cooler (But hey! That’s just my opinion and everybody’s got one!). This ESP weighs 10lb, is housed in its original ESP branded black rectangular hardshell case and will ship out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door!
