Had it gone through by a reputable tech about 15 years ago. It has played reliably ever since.
Has a replacement Weber VST C8SS.4 Signature Series 8" Speaker in the original baffle. Great speaker!
Has new 8' 3-prong power cord, death cap removed.
Has new QUALITY capacitors and resistors where needed and to ensure another 60 years of MOJO!
Minimal mods: B+ lowered for safety, Tremolo slowed down. All can be easily un-done. Sockets re-tensioned, pots cleaned.
This is NOT a museum piece though it looks like one from the outside. Except for the replacement speaker. It is a PLAYER! All the knobs are original (screw at 10). Cosmetically, the Tolex has normal wear and tear, grillcloth is okay, faceplate is scratched up. Straps and handle are bright and shiny. Original Fender badge in great shape. Original pine cabinet, paper tube chart in great shape, original back panels in great shape. If only it had the original speaker! And you could probably find one on Ebay...
I have a video of a looper pedal playing through it. It's a YouTube link, and should be on this ad somewhere. When you turn up a Fender amp past 5 or so you MUST turn the bass down, if not all the way off. But really they were not designed to be turned up that far. This amp sounds GREAT up to about 6 and the tremolo works as it should. Pedals sound awesome through this amp, too! Great for the bedroom/apartment or even for recording. IYKYK...
Priced at the lower end of what I see for sale on Ebay and Reverb.com. And this amp doesn't need ANY WORK. It is ready to go. I had to add $100 for Reverbs' seller fees and payment fees. So, $1300 +shipping.
Pickup is in Midtown Coeur d'Alene, ID, or I can ship, but you will pay all costs, including insurance. Which means it will cost about $70 to ship anywhere in the continental US.
