The 8-ply, 9mm cherry shell gives the Cherry Bomb a warm, focused voice with a strong low-mid presence and plenty of attack. Cherry naturally tames harsher overtones, giving this drum a punchy, controlled response while still retaining enough projection and articulation to cut through a full band. It has a vintage-inspired character that works especially well for rock, alternative, blues, and studio applications.

The SONIClear bearing edges provide excellent head-to-shell contact for consistent tuning and a broad tuning range. The drum is equipped with Sonic Saver hoops, chrome high-tension tube lugs, and Mapex's smooth Cylinder-Drive strainer, giving it precise and dependable snare-wire adjustment.

The Puresound Custom Series 16-strand stainless steel snare wires provide a sensitive, articulate response while allowing the natural character of the cherry shell to remain prominent.
