This is a special Steve Vai model produced in limited quantities to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Hoshino Gakki in Japan.

This model was produced exclusively in 1998; at that time, models featuring Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, and John Petrucci were also released.

Based on the JEM7V, this Steve Vai model features a metallic textured pattern, and the headstock top has the same finish.

The maple neck with bubinga stripes features a scarf joint construction and a Super Wizard profile. The ebony fingerboard has a simple design without the Tree of Life inlays; the high frets are not scalloped, and a “90th Anniversary Model” plate is embedded in the 24th fret.

This model is extremely rare on the used market, so if you’ve been searching for one, don’t miss this opportunity!

There are scattered areas of paint peeling on the body. There are also small scratches on the neck and headstock, so please check the photos. There is some dirt on the roughened areas of the finish that could not be completely removed.

There is also some rust on the metal parts, so please check the photos carefully.

The bridge has been replaced, but it produces a great sound.

We can also include the original bridge if you’d like; please let us know after purchase if you need it.

Please note that the buyer is responsible for all import procedures, taxes, and fees.

While there were no issues at the time of listing, occasional contact problems may occur with the selector switch or jack. If you encounter any defects upon receipt, we can repair and reship the item free of charge.

The original hard case is included.
